Course Details
Dental Assisting Institute’s Ultrasonic Scaling Course is a 4 Hour course certified by the Dental Board of California. The course includes classroom & laboratory experience on a banded typodont and involves clinical application of cement removal from orthodontic bands using an ultrasonic scaler. PowerPoint presentation and course manual will be utilized.

Classroom Instruction / Course Examination:
Four hours will be scheduled for lecture, laboratory and clinical application of cement removal from orthodontic bands using the ultrasonic scaler. Students will practice on banded typodonts as a part of their practical examination. You will also complete a written examination.
*Upon successful completion of this course and if you are a RDA, you will receive a certificate of completion and be able to perform this procedure.
*You will also receive 4 C.E. units if you are a RDA.
